Awarded Banstead Manor Best Sports Painting Runner Up
I never expected that !
Very pleased to be selected as ‘BANSTEAD MANOR BEST SPORTS PAINTING—RUNNER-UP’ … in the Society Of Equestrian Artists Summer Exhibition at Palace House Mews, Newmarket, Suffolk.
The painting depicts the great 1970’s partnership of Lester Piggott & Nijinsky.
Winning his first race when only 14yrs old, the imagery also carries Piggott’s early nickname of ‘LongFellow’ – as he was deemed a tall lad for flat racing.
