‘Sound and Vision’ is a song by David Bowie which appeared on the sublime album called ‘Low’, the first of Bowie’s Berlin Trilogy in 1977 produced by Tony Visconti, with Brian Eno on keyboards and backing vocals by Mary Hopkin.
This piece represents the period for Bowie just after The Man Who Fell To Earth (the cover of Low is a production still from the film). In this painting I wanted to reflect his more fragile state at this time and also incorporate a descriptive newspaper clipping that is fused into his back.
Part of a collection of paintings I have made of David Bowie.
Acrylic on canvas.
